Quartz
JW Stone
Quartz (engineered quartz) can be described from a materials perspective as a resin-bound composite surface. It is manufactured by combining a high percentage of crushed natural quartz (typically over 90%) with polymer resins and pigments, then compacted and cured into slabs.
This composition gives quartz a uniform appearance, consistent color control, and a non-porous structure, making it highly resistant to staining and easy to maintain. The resin component also adds slight flexibility, reducing brittleness compared to natural stone.
